Your theme draws the stars. Not our script.
Most review apps inject JavaScript on every page to paint stars. Rateful writes each product’s rating into Shopify’s own rating fields, and your theme renders them like any other product detail.

Why we built Rateful
Review apps kept adding features and weight until the widget cost more PageSpeed points than the reviews earned back. We wanted the opposite: the essentials done well, stars that load with the page, and a price that doesn’t grow with your orders.

Questions merchants ask.
Is the free plan really unlimited?
Yes. Every plan collects and shows unlimited reviews. Plans differ only in how many review request emails we send for you each month, plus a small “Powered by Rateful” link on Free.
Which themes does it work with?
Any Online Store 2.0 theme, including Dawn and the free Shopify themes. You add the reviews block in the theme editor; no code edits.
Can I bring my reviews from Judge.me, Loox or Yotpo?
Yes. Export the CSV from your current app and upload it. We keep the original dates and your replies, match products by ID or handle, and skip duplicates if you import twice.
What happens to my reviews if I change plans?
Nothing. No plan hides, holds or deletes reviews. If you run out of emails for the month, requests pause until the next month; reviews keep coming in from your product pages.
What happens if I uninstall?
Billing stops right away. Your star ratings live in Shopify’s standard rating fields, which belong to your store. Shopify asks us to delete the rest of your data 48 hours after uninstalling, and we do.
Who reads the review request emails?
Your customers, sent from our mail servers with your store name and your contact email as the reply-to address, so replies go to you. Every email has a one-click opt-out.
